Artist - Seetal Gahir

Seetal's interest for Indian Classical music began at a young age with the Sikh tradition of Gurbani devotional singing that she learned from Ustad
Harbhajan Singh ji.

This interest grew as she moved on to explore the technical aspects of the voice through studying Opera and techniques of Western music with the Yorkshire Young Musicians scheme.

Also a skilled dancer, Seetal has been trained in Bharatanatyam by Smt. Devika Rao and more recently the North Indian style of Kathak. She as a wide range of performance experience having been on stage regularly since a young age but she also enjoys teaching and sharing her knowledge too.

Seetal continues to be an avid learner and her interest has expanded over the years into a passion for Indian history and the practice and preservation of arts as a whole.
