On Wednesday 1st August 2018 from 6.00pm, join us for a midweek chill out and after-work drink in Millennium Square, with music from across the expanse of Asia.
We will be showcasing a number of unfamiliar instruments and vocal styles in a mix that would delight any fan of world music. Traditional Chinese music, Indian raags and classical crossovers are just some of the inspiring compositions that are just waiting to be discovered.

6.00pm to 6.50pm - Sounds of the Zither features Xiaoxi Hou on the Guzheng - the Chinese Zither. We invite everyone to experince the very best of traditional and contemporary expression of Chinese Music in Leeds
7.15pm to 7.50pm - The SAA-uk Youth Ensemble is a group of talented young people who play an array of Indian Instruments, rarely hard in mainstream venues
8.15pm to 10.00pm - 'Jugalbandi' - a collaboration between Sitar, Sarangi and Tabla featuring Ustad Dharambir Singh M.B.E, Suhail Khan, Pritpal Singh Rai and Bhavanjot Singh. All four musicians will share with you the sound of each instrument and the magic that occurs when they collaborate through Raags and Taals
