What? At SAA-uk Dance Academy we offer high quality training in two of the major forms of Indian classical dance, Bharatanatyam and Kathak.

When? Every Friday from 5 to 8.15 pm

Where? Northern School of Contemporary Dance

How Much? £80 to £120 per 10-week term

 

Bharatanatyam  All ages from 3+ 

Pre-Grade (Age 3 to 6)          5.15pm – 6.15pm 

Grade 2 (Age 8 to 10)            5.15pm – 6.45pm

Grade 4 (Age 10 to 12)          6.15pm – 7.45pm

Grade 5 (Age 13 to 16+)        6.45pm – 8.15pm

Discover the grace, poise and rhythm of Bharatanatyam, a dance crafted with sculptured movements, facial expressions and hand gestures capable of expressing stories and emotions.

Our classes provide the perfect environment to explore this classical Indian dance form in a friendly, supportive and professional atmosphere.

Pre-grade (3+)     1h training in Bharatanatyam dance

Grade 1 to 5         1.5h training in Bharatanatyam dance and Carnatic vocals

In addition to group classes, we also offer the opportunity to achieve ISTD (Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing) qualifications and to perform at various cultural events across the region.

 

Kathak  All ages from 10+

Kathak Beginners (All ages)       6pm – 7pm

Kathak Intermediate (All ages)  7pm – 8pm

• Open to everyone - no dance experience required
